The last phase in the redevelopment area near the centre of Haarlem. The social housing development consists of 56 medium sized apartments divided into two buildings.
All homes have outdoor space and a cafe / restaurant and retail space are built in the plinth.
With its shape and position, the two buildings match the immediate surroundings. The zinc roofs complement the varied roof landscape of the city centre.
At ground level, a new urban space has been created with pedestrian paths and green squares. The houses are partly heated by the residual heat released from the nearby brewery and, together with the solar panels on the roof, ensure that the high sustainability ambitions are achieved.
